"Wasn’t what I wanted, so I ordered another one from you, then you charged me return postage when your policy states if I’m replacing it with another one of your products I don’t need to pay for the return Take more than one day to get a response on an email and you have become another company with no humans to speak to. "I have been using a similar Herschel backpack with a laptop compartment since 2020, and I was very satisfied with it. That is why I decided to order a new one. Unfortunately, I have to say that the overall quality of the new product has significantly decreased, even though the price has not been reduced. In the backpack I bought in 2020, both the sunglasses compartment and the laptop compartment were made of a soft, velvet-like material. The laptop compartment was also padded and felt protective, premium, and high quality. In the new product, however, the material used in these sections feels much cheaper and almost plastic-like. It does not give the same protective or premium feeling as the older version. I also noticed that the zippers feel lower in quality compared to my previous backpack. While the design is still nice, the overall material quality is clearly not on the same level as before. I fully respect sustainability efforts and appreciate brands trying to use more sustainable materials. However, I do not think it is right to reduce the quality of a product under the motto of sustainability, especially when the price remains the same. You can also see the photos of the backpack I purchased in 2020 attached for comparison. Overall, as a long-time Herschel customer, I am disappointed with the quality difference between the older and newer versions of this backpack."
"I had purchased one of these bags back in 2018 and it was the best backpack I’ve ever had. I recently purchased another one and quality has completely gone down the drain. The laptop sleeve is just made out nylon as opposed to the fleece lined and padded version before. The sunglass pocket is in a better location but they got rid of the fleece in there as well. The interior lost its signature red and white color way and the bag overall looks cheap compared to what it used to. Lower quality at a higher price!"
"Backpack feels overall cheaper than my pop quiz from 2 years back. The larger outside area is less useful for putting things, liked the little pocket with velcro for tucking things like medication or biz cards. The material feels not as rugged. Had grey with leather, now have black on black and things get lost in it."
"My teen daughter loves it, looks sturdy and well made, it’ll last her way beyond the year we usually use it for. It’s for her junior year in high school and has enough space for her things and sleeve for her backpack"
"Overall the backpack is good but I expected it to be a little bit bigger especially when I told the clerk what I intended to use it for. The only improvement that I feel is needed is the backpack doesn't stand on its own very well. It usually tends to tilt to the front. . . . sometimes I adjust it then it kind of stands on its own but most of the time it doesn't"

"I miss the older bag. It had fabric to prevent scratches in the sunglasses pocket and laptop pocket. This new bag offered none of that."
"The small pouch at top used to have a soft felt lining great for holding glasses/sunglasses. Also the laptop section in the previous model had the same soft felt lining whereas this newer design doesnt. Otherwise the pop quiz is a great backpack. I especially like the limited design I got. Sturdy zippers. However this one is replacing an older pop quiz i have that was otherwise fine except for the zipper on the front most pocket (the one with the patch on it) wore out and wouldn't open/shut anymore. Otherwise the backpack was fine so it kind of stinks to have to replace the whole thing. But I got a cool design and it was on sale."
"I already have one of these and I like it so much I bought another for travelling. They're very functional (plenty of space and separate compartments) but also smart-looking, so the backpack doesn't look out of place if you're in a nice place."
