Perfect backpack for university and everyday use

"This backpack has been excellent for university. It fits everything I need for a full day of classes without feeling disorganized or overcrowded. The material feels extremely durable and resistant, so I’m confident it will hold up well with daily use. It’s also very comfortable to carry, even when I have it packed with books, notebooks, my water bottle, and other essentials. I especially like the number of compartments and pockets because everything has its own place and is easy to find. The laptop compartment is another big plus—it feels well padded and keeps my computer protected while I’m moving around campus. Overall, it feels very well designed, sturdy, practical, and comfortable. It has quickly become my go-to backpack for university."

Near Perfect Tech Backpack

"As a frequent flyer who regularly commutes between regional flights, airport terminals, and office walk commutes, I need a pack that balances heavy-duty durability with instant in-transit utility. The Herschel Kaslo Tech (30L Cordura) delivers on almost every front. To be clear: this is not an outdoor trail pack, and it isn’t built for hiking or camping trips. It is purposely and unapologetically engineered for the office, daily tech carry, and urban business travel. What Works Exceptionally Well: Dedicated 3-Zone Architecture: Isolating the laptop and tablet compartment against the back is a game-changer. There is no awkward bottom flap or dead zone where charging bricks and deodorant disappear into a black hole. Cabin & In-Flight Utility: The top-down access across all major compartments means I can easily reach inside while the pack sits between my feet in cramped airline seating without unzipping a massive clamshell and dumping my gear onto the floor. Freed-Up Packing Space: Having external water bottle and umbrella sleeves means your drinkware no longer hogs internal volume. The central cavity leaves more than enough room to lay a thick travel sweater or hoodie flat alongside tech accessories. 1680D Ballistic Cordura: The shell is rugged, holds its shape, and handles abrasive cabin floors and travel transit without showing premature wear. A Few Small Critiques: Strap "Earbud" Pocket Sizing: The integrated shoulder-strap pocket is a fantastic concept, but modern wireless earbud cases (like Sony XM5s, Google Pixel Buds, or JBLs) are simply too thick to zip shut comfortably. Fortunately, it accidentally makes the ultimate quick-access slot for a driver's license, credit card, or TSA PreCheck ID while passing through airport security. Monolithic Styling: The Cordura edition is completely blacked out. The build quality is top-notch, but the dark trim and black zipper pulls make the exterior look very muted and utilitarian. Adding a contrasting accent—like classic cognac/tan leather pulls or an earth-tone cord—gives it that classic Herschel visual pop. Bottom Line: If you need a purpose-built commuter and business travel backpack that keeps all your hardware organized, fits under the seat, and survives real airport mileage, the Kaslo Tech is hard to beat. Highly recommended for power-user professionals."

Good bag

"It is a great bag, really good for organizing things. The only complaint I have is that the comfort while carrying it for long isn’t great."
